I wonder how many people you’ve kissed since me.

“I will love you as we find ourselves farther and farther from one another, where we once were so close that we could slip the curved straw, and the long, slender spoon, between our lips and fingers respectively. I will love you until the chances of us running into one another slip from slim to zero, and until your face is fogged by distant memory, and your memory faced by distant fog, and your fog memorized by a distant face, and your distance distanced by the memorized memory of a foggy fog. I will love you no matter where you go and who you see, no matter where you avoid and who you don’t see, and no matter who sees you avoiding where you go. I will love you no matter what happens to you, and no matter how I discover what happens to you, and no matter what happens to me as I discover this, and no matter how I am discovered after what happens to me as I am discovering this.”

“If you’re really listening, if you’re awake to the poignant beauty of the world, your heart breaks regularly. In fact, your heart is made to break; its purpose is to burst open again and again so that it can hold evermore wonders.”

I’m overwhelmed by this aching, deep, missing you, type of feeling.

Tonight I lay awake with so many uncertainties that my head burns.

After a certain amount of time you just get tired of some people. You become fed up with trying to make yourself a part of their life again, of mending things between the both of you. The motivation or amount of energy you once had to maintain the friendship or relationship going slowly dissolves.
And that sucks.

Note to my future life forever lover partner: I will frequently sneak out in the middle of the nights when it’s rainiest and gloomiest in some cute raincoat to find a cozy cafe to sleep with instead. Consider this an acceptable affair or don’t marry me.

“Study me as much as you like, you will never know me, for I differ a hundred ways from what you see me to be. put yourself behind my eyes, and see me as i see myself, for i have chosen to dwell in a place you cannot see.”

“Sleeping and naked, love me: on the shore
you are like the island: your love confused, your love
astonished, hidden in the cavity of dreams,
is like the movement of the sea around us.
And when I too begin falling asleep
in your love, naked,
leave my hand between your breasts so it can throb
along with your nipples wet with rain.
